Which actress played Beatrix Kiddo (The Bride) in 'Kill Bill'?

Uma Thurman played Beatrix Kiddo/The Bride/Black Mamba in Quentin Tarantino's 'Kill Bill: Volume 1' (2003) and 'Kill Bill: Volume 2' (2004). The character was created jointly by Tarantino and Thurman years before, during the filming of 'Pulp Fiction'. To prepare, Thurman trained intensely in martial arts and swordsmanship for three months before filming.
